Location: This coastal Game farm is situated near Tsitsikamma, approximately 35 km west of Oyster Bay, and 30 km south of the Palmietvlei turnoff from the main N2 national road that connects Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. It is very close to Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
This area is very well known for the beautiful beaches and natural wildlife. Although you have the privacy of a remote destination, the nearest town is within a 30 minute drive.
Description: This Property is a 170ha coastal game farm with a private beach. This section of coastline is rugged, and characterized by a primary and secondary reef, forming rocky gullies and tidal rock pools. This is a fisherman's paradise, with excitement for young and old- the kids have hours of fun in the gullies with blacktail, carrantine mullet, etc while the geelbek, mussel cracker and cob are a worthy challenge for even the most accomplished angler.
The dune system is dominated by indigenous coastal candlewood and milkwood forests, interspersed with pannicum and kikuyu clearings.
Rainfall: The farm falls within the perennial Tsitsikamma rainfall belt and has an annual average of 880 mm.
Improvements: The farm is enclosed by a 2.4 m game fence. Ample fresh water is available and is piped from natural springs and a borehole/windmill. There is a small 2 bedroom house and an older structure on the property.
This is a pristine piece of unspoilt coastline. These properties are generally handed down as family inheritance and seldom come on the market. Given its size, vegetation and topography, it would be ideal for horse lovers, and if carefully developed, will undoubtedly prove to be an excellent investment.
The property has two standing structures but is zoned as a development with the capacity to develop another 4 houses (thus a total of 6 houses on the farm). It is in a nature conservation area and wild buck and otters are spotted on the farm.
